Whew!..24th October is undeniably a fun filled remarkable event! The energy of the participating groups to the PinoySG Fun Games Festival 09 is so astounding that it shook the grounds of SP JAIN Center of Management Campus as its event venue.

Against the notion that the 200 over participants will arrive in a Pilipino time, surprisingly they came earlier than expected! At about 9AM, while the sponsors like PNB, Eton Properties, Coleman College, Euro Hi-Tech Systems, iTALKBB and Goldibox have set up their tables, registration has begun at the same time. The participating teams being, Adiktuz, Ilokano@SG, Kalasag, MASP, PSG Badminton Club, Pinoy DOTASG (Kadots), T-Bagz, Team Newbies, Team X'Ter, Vberkz and PSRC seemingly have prepared for the much awaited event, came high spirited , cheering, teasing, strategizing, chatting as competition is yet to happen.

Hep Hep Horray! finally, at 10AM as all teams were set for the event, Mod Chel and iPoy teamed up as duo-emcees as they unleash the entire program. While everybody screamed, “Let the Games Begin!!”, Mod Toto acknowledged the sponsors, teams, committees, and invited SP JAIN’s Program Executive-Rodalyn to officially welcome PinoySG family.

Ready get set go! All teams hurried and head up to the volleyball court to start the heat on! Three touches, spike, dive, hit that ball! The PSG Badminton Club gleefully rejoiced as champions over Vberkz. Simultaneously, smashing the balls in table tennis, sweating to be victorious, the PSRC enthusiastically won. Proudly, the X’Ters triumphed versus Vberkz in their very hot badminton match!

While mommies and babies plus yayas stayed up to rest a while at Room 405 of the SP JAIN campus’ dormitory, JOLOGS, set off the mood for palatable food for the ravenous players and cheerers. Longer than the queue in the relief distribution to flood victims in Pinas, Mod Speed, Chel, Toto and assisting Tatamakata, Albert85, Badette, Fafa-ni-Byatch & Amreal ensured all were served fairly to feed grouching tummies.

Set back in the Leadership Hall, Ambassador Minda Cruz inspired the teams to be positive not only in the sports competition but also to how they struggle to survive in SG, while supporting Pinas who suffers in different way. Thereafter, PinoySG groups had an information session for the MBA programs and scholarships especially designed for Filipino Working Professionals offered by SP JAIN. Orientation to how participants can reduce call costs to the Philippines was shared by iTALKBB, while PNB, initiated by the GM Mr Rodel Bicol encouraged everyone to start saving seriously. With the vibrant mascot of Goldibox, its representative imparted less expensive means of sending balikbayan boxes to Pinas. Eton Properties on the other hand invited the participants to join their scheduled road shows and find out the best condo investments.

All anxious men ready to play Maria goes to Town, excitedly fall in line to try the Maria outfit, slide, roll over, running steadfast to reach goal, finally, the Ilokano@SG claimed 1st prize. Seemingly dehydrated, the gents courageously started drinking beer the bottoms up way, “that Hunk” of team Vberkz was famously known now as the Mucho Barako! Shouting “pull, ahoo!ahoo! pull” muscular PinoySG men showed who’s toughest in Tug of War and so PSG Badminton Club were known to be the “One”, as they were also the champion of all champions!.”Puff, Huff, Shoo, trying to find that 5 peso coin while flour was all over the contestants’ faces, the best seeker did the hunting in less than a minute! whooaaa!

Cheerfully, the PinoySG groups took a dashing yet wacky class picture before gathering all together to applaud winners in the awarding ceremony. As recap, the following were awarded :

Soon before the rest of the groups gave up for the day, Ms. PinoySG candidates’ enticed the drooling and admiring crowd in their catwalk and posh posing, while FelineJewel of Adiktus prevailed the fairest of them all, leaving her famous motto “tara tara”.

Set for the Socialization, everyone started the real festival when Mod Toto flooded the teams with loads of pizzas and drinks while others strive to hit the unreachable pitch, snatching microphones to entertain the crowd with the Magic Sing(the videoke way) even before everyone called it a “day”.
